Dear Ace Families,
As has been widely publicized, Governor Cuomo has announced that effective Wednesday May 19th, the state of New York will be adopting the CDC guidelines and lifting the mask mandate for fully vaccinated individuals. However, individual businesses will be permitted to make their own decisions regarding their mask policy.
Here at Ace Gymnastics we consider ourselves a “Gymnastics School”. Currently at this time schools are still currently mandated to wear masks in New York, regardless if you are a student, teacher/adult, and/or fully vaccinated. At this time, we will be keeping our current mask policies the same and requiring masks be worn by all until the summer schedule starts beginning July 5th. Review our current policies below.
Please note that this was not a decision that I have taken lightly. The majority of our students are under the age of 16, and since vaccines have just been made available to children aged 12-16 the earliest date that any of those students would be considered fully vaccinated is June 17th, which is only a week and a half prior to the end of our current session. We understand that this vaccine is a personal choice, and we respect that as well. We would just like to give the families that have chosen to vaccinate the time to have their children (and selves) fully vaccinated before removing the masks from our facility. I have always, and will continue to do everything in my power to keep my athletes safe and their best interest at heart.
For the summer we will be updating most, if not all of our current Covid-19 procedures and guidelines. These policies will be sent out in the middle/end of June.
I sincerely thank you for your respect and cooperation during this time.
